The HETRANS is the Tool for Calculating Changes in Emissions, Air Quality, Health Impacts and Costs associated with Different Regulatory Scenarios in the Transport Sector.
Based on the vehicle fleet characterisation, the tool estimates emissions for the baseline and regulatory scenarios. From the emission reductions, it estimates the changes in ambient PM2.5 concentrations and the resulting human health impacts in the area under analysis. The tool also estimates the costs associated with investment and operation of the new technologies, which are then compared with the associated benefits in a cost-benefit analysis.
